NFL Divisional Round recap

The NFL Divisional Round broke the internet. Last weekend was even more exciting than expected: Absolutely brilliant! Social media exploded in reactions, first off with the Bills winning and heading to the AFC Championship for the first time since 1994. The Bills Mafia was ecstatic!!! Bills fans under 30 couldn’t even dream this was possible.

In the Rams vs Packers game, the Rams posed a legit threat to the Packers at the beginning of the game. But then the superior game of Green Bay emerged. They played like a team ready to move on, and that includes the defense stepping up in the big moments. The Packers reached the NFC championship game for the fourth time in seven seasons, and they are chasing hard for their first Super Bowl in a decade.

The Browns and the Chiefs starred one of the most dramatic matchups in recent history. It was intense, not a minute of dullness. The Browns had won their first playoff game in 24 years just a week before, and they were facing the defending Super Bowl champions. The game was a roller coaster of emotions from beginning to end. The low blow for Chiefs fans was Patrick Mahomes injury. Before this game, the Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne hadn’t played in an NFL  playoff game, and yet he managed to lead Kansas City to a victory! Mahomes will hopefully recover soon, and Chad Henne experienced his moment of glory. Legendary.

The Saints said farewell to the Conference Championship, the Super Bowl and to Drew Brees. Brees played his final game Sunday when he lost to the Buccaneers. He’s going to retire as the greatest Saints quarterback of all times. The Saints were leading 20-13 and driving for more, but five plays later, the Bucs tied the game at 20 and went on to win 30-20. What a way to turn a game around!

Eat well, sleep tight, and work on some meditation techniques during the week… because the Conference Championship is this coming Sunday and you’ll need all your energy for these two matchups!
